Position Title: Workstream Coordinator

Location: Flexible (Ukraine preferred)

Reports to: Executive Director, B4Ukraine

Contract Type: Full-time or part-time consultancy/employee (to be confirmed)

Duration: 12 months, renewable subject to performance and funding

Background

B4Ukraine is a global civil society coalition dedicated to reducing harmful international business practices that enable Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine. One of its key areas of work focuses on limiting Russia’s ability to sustain its war effort by addressing its reliance on foreign technology and resources. This involves efforts around supply chains, sanctions implementation, responsible corporate conduct, financial oversight, and policy engagement.

To implement the strategy for this workstream, B4Ukraine is seeking a Coordinator to manage and drive forward coalition efforts.

Objectives of the Role

● Lead and coordinate the implementation of B4Ukraine’s strategy to address risks and business links related to the security-industrial sector.

● Facilitate effective collaboration between B4Ukraine members and partners working on this line of work.

● Ensure high-quality research, advocacy, and engagement outputs that contribute to coalition goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Workstream Leadership & Coordination

● Manage the day-to-day coordination of the workstream, ensuring effective delivery against agreed goals and milestones.

● Convene regular meetings of coalition members, fostering collaboration, information sharing, and joint planning.

● Serve as the primary point of contact for members, partners, and external stakeholders engaged in this workstream.

● Set up security protocolas to communicate within the workstream.

● Undertake necessary administrative task to ensure smooth operation of the working stream.

  1. Strategy Delivery

● Translate the strategic objectives into an actionable work plan with clear deliverables and timelines.

● Monitor progress, identify risks, and adjust priorities as needed to maintain momentum.

● Ensure integration with other B4Ukraine workstreams (corporate advocacy, financial flows, sanctions, litigation, etc.).

  1. Research & Investigations

● Coordinate and support member-led investigations into supply chains, sanctions evasion, and dual-use technology flows.

● Identify opportunities for new research collaborations and ensure outputs are aligned with advocacy goals.

● Ensure that research findings are packaged for impact (reports, briefs, media materials).

  1. Advocacy & External Engagement

● Develop and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and sanctions enforcement bodies across G7/EU and beyond.

● Support coalition advocacy on strategic litigation, corporate accountability, and financial sector engagement.

● Identify advocacy opportunities at national, regional, and international levels, and prepare coalition inputs.

  1. Communications

● Work with B4Ukraine’s communications team to amplify findings and advocacy messages through media, social media, and public campaigns.

● Ensure coherence of messaging across coalition members on security-related issues.

  1. Reporting & Learning

● Produce quarterly progress updates for the Steering Committee and funders.

● Capture lessons learned and contribute to strategic reviews of coalition activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

● Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil society, international advocacy, or related fields.

● Strong knowledge of sanctions, arms trade, dual-use technologies, or illicit financial flows.

● Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder coalitions or networks.

● Experience designing and implementing advocacy strategies.

● Excellent project management and facilitation skills.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

● Ability and willigness to travel to undertake work activities.

Desirable

● Experience with investigations/OSINT, export controls, or corporate accountability.

● Knowledge of EU, US, and G7 policy processes on sanctions and export control regimes.

● Fluency in Ukrainian.

Key Deliverables (Year 1)

● Develop and maintain an annual work plan aligned with the strategy.

● Convene at least bi-monthly coalition coordination meetings.

● Deliver at least two joint advocacy interventions (e.g., policy brief, open letter, high-level advocacy meeting).

● Coordinate and publish at least one major investigation or research product in collaboration with members.

● Produce quarterly reports on progress, challenges, and recommendations.

Duration & Remuneration

● Initial contract: 12 months, with possibility of extension.

● Full time or part time contract negotiable.

● Remuneration: Within the range of 2,500 — 3,000 euros per month (gross), commensurate with experience.
